Privacy notice

What machgrad keeps about you. And what it doesn't.

Last updated 7 October 2026. Governed by the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP); where the GDPR applies to people in the EU/EEA, the same information is provided under it.

In short

Who is responsible

GlobalWerk GmbH, Burgmatt 11, 6340 Baar, Switzerland. Privacy contact: Brian Christner, hallo@machgrad.ch.

What we process and why

Account: your WhatsApp number, name, language, whether you are in the beta or on the waitlist, and when you last wrote. We use this to provide the service and recognise you.

Messages and memory: what you write to the assistant, its replies, what it remembers about you, and files it creates for you. This lives in an isolated space assigned only to you, until you delete it.

Reminders, scheduled tasks and your confirmations (Yes or No before the assistant books, buys or sends anything).

Waitlist: number, email address, first name and language from the form on machgrad.ch, so we can invite you and reach you about the beta.

Settings (app.machgrad.ch): sign-in codes (valid 10 minutes), sign-ins (valid 30 days) and your browser type, so you can see where you are signed in.

Technical logs: no message content and no phone numbers (people appear only as a one-way short code). Logs are size-limited and continuously overwritten. We write no IP addresses of the settings site to any log; to prevent abuse we keep them in memory for at most one hour.

Where your data is kept

Our servers are in data centres in Switzerland (Infomaniak Network SA, Geneva). The disks are encrypted. The AI models that process your messages also run in Swiss data centres (Infomaniak). Our model gateway does not log content.

We do not use your content to train AI models.

What leaves Switzerland

For transfers to countries without adequate data protection we rely on each provider's recognised safeguards (for example the Swiss-US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses).

What we don't do

How long we keep data

Your account, your assistant's memory and your reminders stay until you delete them or we end the beta. Confirmation requests expire after 30 minutes. Waitlist entries stay until we invite you or you ask us to delete them.

When you delete something, it is removed from our servers immediately. We currently keep no backups that would retain deleted data. Messages delivered through WhatsApp (Meta) are subject to WhatsApp's rules.

Managing your data

At app.machgrad.ch (sign in with WhatsApp) you can download your data as a file, delete your assistant's memory or delete your whole account. You can also write to hallo@machgrad.ch.

Cookies on app.machgrad.ch

All three are needed for the service. There are no advertising or analytics cookies.

Your rights

You can ask what data we process about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its processing, and receive your data in a common format. Write to hallo@machgrad.ch. You may also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU, to your local supervisory authority.

Changes

machgrad is in beta and keeps developing. If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it. Before material changes we let you know on WhatsApp.
